Varieties: As a newly developed crop, no
variety has been registered as yet.
Shape: globular
Color: rind dull yellow, a little darker
than that of lagsat (A. domestica)
General aspects: The bunch is crowded; the
skin is thicker than that of langsat. There is no
latex secretion when the rind is peeled (as in the
case of lansat), thus it is not sticky to hands.
Taste: Flesh (aril) is sweet with a mild
aroma.
Nutritional value: High in phosphorus and
vitamin B.
Fruiting season: July - October
Storage: The fresh fruit can be stored at
room temperature for 4-5 days. |
